Tapping for Stay Bolts

Once we had completed the riveting of the mud ring we began to tap and install the stay bolts. An air motor is used to turn the stay bolt tap to simultaneously cut threads in the boiler and firebox. The staybolt is then threaded in and the ends peened over.
