Installing Crown Stays
Dave tightens a crown stay into place. (He really enjoys posing for the camera)

Installing Crown Stays

Saturday, March 15, 2014 by MC

The final step in the process is to thread the bolt into the hole. Dave here is using a cheater bar on the socket wrench to turn the staybolt into place. Final torque is applied with an air wrench. The white material on the threads is pipe dope to help seal the tapered threads.
