The fireman's side crosshead in place

New Bronze Facing on Crosshead

New bronze facing plates were machined and riveted to the inside faces of the crossheads. These plates ride on the sides of the lower crosshead guide beam. In this picture you see the heads of the rivets that hold the plates in place.
