Restored Tender Frame goes on its Trucks

Tuesday, August 19, 2008 by MC

A red letter day for the tender restoration. Dan Hess hauled the restored and freshly painted tender frame from the POA boatyard to the tracks adjacent to the Red Lion. The frame was lifted onto its trucks - back on the rails - and then the new water tank was loaded up and hauled to the Lektro plant at the Astoria Airport so that it could go into their paint booth and get a fresh new coat of black Imron. This series of pictures documents the events of the day.
