Firebox is inside the Boiler
At the end of the day on January 9th the firebox just needs to go up the last 4 inches to be in place.

The weekend of January 9-10, 2010 marked another major step in the restoration of SMV 21. The entire boiler was raised up on cribbing so that the new firebox could be rolled under it. Once the boiler was back down to a managable height the firebox was then raised up into place. While most of this was done in one day, the final four inches or so took a while (and a lot of effort due to the tight fit of the mud ring) and the last little bit was finished on January 16th.
